Service Description
Aquamax was born from an experience shared by millions across underserved communities in Nigeria and Africa. I for one grew up in an underserved community in Ifo Local Government Area, Ogun State, Nigeria, my siblings and I travelled long distances daily to fetch drinking water. The best we always got was often contaminated, unsafe, and unhealthy, yet it was the only option available to us. Like many families in low-income communities, we lived with the constant risk of waterborne diseases caused by unsafe drinking water. Access to clean drinking water remains one of the world’s biggest public health challenges. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) www.who.int and UNICEF www.unicef.org Over 2 billion people globally still lack access to safely managed drinking water. Millions rely on contaminated rivers, wells, ponds, taps, and unsafe water sources daily. Rural and underserved communities remain the most affected. In Nigeria, the crisis is even more severe: Millions of households still depend on untreated water sources. Waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, typhoid, and dysentery have become some of the biggest threats to lives. Thousands of children die yearly from illnesses linked to unsafe water and poor sanitation. For many underserved communities, access to clean water is still a daily struggle that affects health, education, productivity, and quality of life. OUR SOLUTION Aquamax is a sustainable ceramic water purification system designed to provide affordable access to safer drinking water. It is a point-of-use water purification system that harnesses the power of technology, porous ceramics, osmosis, nanotechnology, and traditional pottery to filter microbes and other contaminants from drinking water, leaving every water filtered 99.9% free of germs, odor, taste, color, pathogens, and disease-causing bacteria. safe enough for even a day-old child
